The Conservatory’s mission is to provide aspiring actors of all ages with the skills, tools, and confidence to reveal their unique acting talents. The Conservatory provides a positive, creative atmosphere where you can learn the craft of acting, from basic technique to the practical aspects of building a career in the theatre.

11AM – 2PMThis fall, B Street Theatre invites you to a rare opportunity—two days of focused, hands-on audition training with company member Peter Story. Known for his standout performances on the B Street Theatre stage including ADVICE, LOVE & BASEBALL, RESCUE ME, and countless others, Peter brings over 25 years of professional acting and teaching experience to the stage.

In this intimate workshop (just 25 spots), you’ll sharpen every part of your audition game: choosing the right monologue, crafting a standout resume, commanding the stage, and handling interviews with confidence. Across two 3-hour sessions, Peter will guide you through the dos and don’ts of professional theatre auditions, give you tailored feedback, and prepare you to shine—whether you’re stepping into B Street’s General Auditions or beyond.

Some of his favorite B Street credits include ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS; BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI; THE FOREVER QUESTION, and IRONBOUND. Local credits include LUNA GALE (Capital Stage) & FIVE COURSE LOVE (Sacramento Theatre Company). Other regional credits include SURVIVING SEX (Garry Marshall Theatre) & the national tour of the one-man MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS.
