Creative
Buck Busfield (Producing Artistic Director)

Buck has been involved with B Street since it was founded by his younger brother Timothy in 1986. In his tenure at B Street, Buck has served as a musician, composer and director. Buck is also a writer, having penned dozens of sketches and plays for B Street’s School Tour, Family Series, Sketch Comedy Series and Mainstage. In 2018, Buck’s long-held vision of a small, Midtown performing arts center was realized with the opening of the beautiful Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. It was a labor of love, achieved by the efforts of the most talented, passionate and hard-working staff found anywhere; most notably, Bill Blake, Jerry Montoya and Lyndsay Burch, a brilliant acting company, a visionary and savvy board, and the profound generosity of an entire community.

Jerry Montoya (Executive Producer)

Jerry has been with the B Street Theatre for 17 years and is currently the Executive Producer. He has been a director, writer, actor, designer and stage manager in professional theatre for 30 years. For B Street he recently directed The Legend of Georgia McBride, as well as many others including: A Skull in Connemara, Red, The Seafarer and What the Butler Saw. He has written over 10 plays for the Family Series including Treasure Island, The Flying Machine and Frankenstein. His play Love And Baseball received its world premiere at B Street in 2016.

Lyndsay Burch (Associate Artistic Director)

Lyndsay is the Associate Artistic Director at B Street Theatre where she specializes in the development and production of new works and contemporary plays. In her time at B Street, Lyndsay has directed ten Equity productions, directed and written for four touring productions, recruited three full-time intern companies, produced a three-city International Tour to India, cast over 50 productions, and cultivated B Street’s relationship with the National New Play Network, resulting in three Rolling World Premieres. As a director and assistant director, Lyndsay has developed new plays with B Street Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, the National Showcase of New Plays, Sacramento Theatre Company, the Dramatist Guild Footlight Series, the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Hangar Theatre and Berkshire Theatre Group, among others. She is the recipient of a generous grant from the Point West Rotary which enabled her to travel to Mumbai, India where she served as an Artist in Residence for the National Theatre Performing Arts Centre’s production of Gandhi: The Musical. In January 2017, Lyndsay served as the SDCF Observer to Carey Perloff on American Conservatory Theatre’s World Premiere adaptation of A Thousand Splendid Suns. Lyndsay is an alum of Lincoln Center’s Directors Lab West and Elon University’s BFA Acting Program. She is a current participant in Theatre Bay Area's ATLAS Program for Directors. Sean Patrick Nill (Artistic Associate)

Sean is an Artistic Associate at the B Street Theatre. Recent Family Series credits include: Gandhi and Robin Hood. Recent directing credits include: Small Steps (New Comedies Festival-2018), Fantasy Festival XXXII, and History Extravaganza IV. Writing credits include: Mathematical Madness, Fantasy Festival XXXII, Fantasy Festival XXXI, History Extravaganza IV, History Extravaganza III, A Yippie’s Day in Disneyland (2018 Intern Showcase) and Tiny Resurrections (2017 Intern Showcase). Recent Regional Theatre credits include: The Behavior Of Broadus (Capital Stage), The Whipping Man (Sacramento Theatre Company), Twelfth Night (Pacific Repertory Theatre), and Sense & Sensibility (Livermore Shakespeare Company). As a playwright, his plays have been produced by the Sacramento Theatre Company (Kings of America), Watermelon Theatre Festival (Prayer), Rover Dramawerks (Brynlee & the Bull), and Torrent Theatre (An Ordinary Woman), among others. His play, An Ordinary Woman, is published in the 2017 edition of Stage It! Ten Minute Plays.

Acting Company
Greg Alexander (Outreach & Education Manager)

Greg is the Outreach & Education Manager as well as a member of B Street Theatre’s Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: Holmes and Watson, House on Haunted Hill, One Man,Two Guvnors, A Moving Day and A Christmas Carol. Recent Family Series credits include: The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol and Treasure Island. Recent directing credits include: History Extravaganza IV, Every Brilliant Thing and Alice in Wonderland. Recent writing credits include: History Extravaganza IV, Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad, Alice in Wonderland, and Fantasy Festival XXXIX. As Director of Education he oversees workshops in schools, hospitals, community centers and correctional facilities as well as class offerings with B Street’s Conservatory & Studio for Young Actors. Greg lives in Sacramento with his wife Sean and their Westies, Milo and Magoo.

Stephanie Altholz (Company Member)

Stephanie is a B Street Theatre Core Company Member. Recent Mainstage credits include: One Man, Two Guvnors, Airness, We’re Gonna Be Okay and The Last Match. She co-starred in and co-wrote Treatment with company members Tara Sissom and Amy Kelly. Upstairs at the B credits include: Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. Other Mainstage credits include: Hand to God, Speed-the-Plow, Handle with Care, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche and The Explorers Club. Family Series credits include: Alice In Wonderland, Robin Hood, Frankenstein, and Charlotte’s Web. Regional Theater credits include: Slowgirl, reasons to be pretty, and Clybourne Park (Capital Stage).

Brittni Barger (Company Member)


Dana Brooke (Company Member)

Dana is an actor and playwright based in NYC. She is a B Street Theatre Core Company Member. Recent Mainstage credits include: Ironbound, We’re Gonna Be Okay, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and Venus In Fur. Family Series credits include: The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe and Charlotte’s Web. Writing credits include: Extraordinary Things: Through the Eyes of Anne Frank and The Three Musketeers. New York theatre credits include world premieres of Baby On A Train opposite Mike Birbiglia, Venecia alongside Chita Rivera, Claudia Lazlo with Reed Birney, Vacuum(Cherry Lane), among others. Other theatre credits include work at Cincinnati Playhouse, New Jersey Repertory Company, Playhouse on Park, Cardinal Group, The NOW Collective, The Journey Company, and The Lark. Television credits include FX's Damages, NBC's Ed, and Fox's Canterbury's Law. She was awarded best actress at the 2017 Reno Tahoe International Film Festival for the feature film Laura Gets A Cat. Premiered as staged readings at B Street, Dana’s original plays In Between The Hours and Will both recently received workshop productions in NYC.

Tate Hanyok (Company Member)

Born and raised in Virginia, Tate's acting career began at B Street Theatre where she was so lucky to share the stage with its fantastically talented company members in shows like The Ladies Foursome, The Underpants, Boston Marriage, Sylvia, and the first CTC show, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. She later transitioned to on-camera work with guest roles on shows such as The Office, Superstore, Shameless, The Mentalist, NCIS, Community, and the film Burt Wonderstone with Steve Carell. She's appeared in more than 75 commercials and is an alum of UCB. She's written, produced, and directed multiple webseries and shorts and recently sold her first feature screenplay.

Kurt Johnson (Company Member)

Kurt is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company and the director of the B Street Summer Acting Program. Recent Mainstage credits include: One Man, Two Guvnors, A Moving Day, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Recent Family Series credits include: Treasure Island. He has also worked at the Capital Stage, Sacramento Theatre Company, and the Sacramento Music Circus. Kurt was a member of the first ever B Street Theatre Intern Company in 1993. He’d love to thank his wife Hilary and Jake, Kate, and Cameron for all of their love and support.

Jahi Kearse (Company Member)

A NY based Atlanta GA native, is thrilled to be returning to The B Street stage, a proud company member. He was last seen here in: Dry Powder, One Man, Two Guvnors, Lungs, Satchmo at the Waldorf, and Bars & Measures. Broadway credits include Holler If Ya Hear Me and Baby It’s You! Off Broadway credits include: The Total Bent; The Fortress of Solitude Select Regional Credits: Ain’t Too Proud A Christmas Carol, Indian Joe; Maurice Hines’ Yo Alice; Debbie Allen’s Souls Possessed; Seussical; Passing Strange; Motherf**ker with the Hat; Topdog/Underdog.

Amy Kelly (Company Member)

Amy is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: The Ladies Foursome, One Man, Two Guvnors and Treatment. Recent Family Series credit include: Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad, The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi and Alice in Wonderland. Writing credits include: Treatment and Surprise Party at the End of the World (New Play Brunch - October 2018). Amy is also a teaching artist with the B Street Theatre Conservatory and has been featured in B Street Theatre’s live podcast, Poison Boot. Her film credits include Nick and Tristan Go Mega Death (2010) and West Hollywood Motel (2013) and many others. She was featured in one of LA’s longest running comedy shows All About Walken: The Impersonators of Christopher Walken. Currently she is filming a mini-series called Honest Abe: The Backstory slated for release in 2019.

Jason Kuykendall (Company Member)

Jason Kuykendall is a proud member of the B Street Theatre’s Acting Company. He has performed in over 50 productions here, including The Big Bang, The 39 Steps, The Nibroc Trilogy, The Hound Of The Baskervilles, The Explorers Club, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, House On Haunted Hill, and many more. Favorite regional credits include A Long Days Journey Into Night (Edmund) and the world premiere of Lanford Wilson’s translation of Henrick Ibsen’s Ghosts (Oswald) with Arizona Theatre Company, Of Mice And Men (Lenny) and The Importance Of Being Earnest (Ernest) with Sacramento Theatre Company, The Elephant Man (Treves), The Country House (Michael), And Around The World In 80 Days (Phileas Fogg) with Theatre works, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (Brick) with St. Louis Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, and Phoenix Theatre, and Les Liaisons Dangerous (Valmont), Ideation (Brock), and Stupid F#%*ing Bird at Capitol Stage. John is a proud member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. Mainstage credits include Airness, One Man, Two Guvnors, The Book of Liz, Juno and the Paycock, Jack Goes Boating, the Seafarer, and The Explorer’s Club. Family Series credits include: The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe, Junie B. Jones Is Not A Crook, Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad and The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi. B Street Theatre directing credits include: Hand to God, Women who Steal, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Earshot, The Maintenance Man, Beauty and the Beast, and The Big Bang.

Stephanie McVay (Company Member)

Stephanie is an original B Street company member and is thrilled to be making her debut at The Sofia. Stephanie was last seen in Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike. Other main stage shows include: Other Desert Cities, Sexy Laundry, Mending Fences, A Skull in Connemara, The Book of Liz, Juno and the Paycock, and The Underpants. Stephanie has also had the pleasure of acting in several of Buck Busfield's original works for the main stage. TV credits: MOM, The Romanoffs, Super Store, Baskets, The Great Indoors, The People vs OJ Simpson, The Office, Big Love, True Blood and Parks and Recreation, to name a few. Film: Gemini, I do...Until I Don't , Another Gay Movie, Gypsy '83, Edge of Seventeen, and a new Independent film coming up this spring, Swan Song, filmed in Sandusky Ohio.

Danielle Moné Truitt (Company Member)

Danielle Moné Truitt was destined to entertain. The actor, singer, and dancer hails from Sacramento, California where she studied Theatre and Dance at Sacramento State University and became a company member of The B Street Theatre before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Truitt came to national attention after being single-handedly selected by visionary producer John Singleton to star in the title role of his new crime drama Rebel for BET. She has also appeared in roles on ABC and FOX. Danielle continues to do theatre and has been nominated for NAACP Theatre Awards and Ovation Awards for her performances in The Mountaintop and Dreamgirls. She was also the Video Reference Actress who helped create Princess Tiana from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Truitt is repped by United Talent Agency and CMA Entertainment. Elisabeth Nunziato (Company Member)

For B Street Founding Company Member Elisabeth Nunziato, returning home to B Street and to the most important members of the B Street family, our audience, is very special. Pre-pandemic, she starred with Brittni Barger in Ride, Sally Ride as Amelia Earhardt and with the incredible ensemble cast of The Last Match about love and tennis. Ms. Nunziato is a Producer and Casting Director with NK Media/Actor’s Workshop, Co-founder with Dr. Hakan Ozcelik of The Wisdom Studio (an on-going series of talks with internationally recognized scholars, artists and business leaders exploring new thinking in leadership and organizational wisdom), and a dedicated private acting teacher and public speaking coach for professionals. Melinda Parrett (Company Member)

Melinda is a proud member of the B Street Acting Company. Mainstage credits include: elemeno pea, Robyn is Happy, The Ladies Foursome, and Dry Powder. Most recently, she was seen in the Family Series production of Treasure Island. She has performed with theatres all over the country, including Denver Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Geva Theatre, Santa Cruz Shakespeare, PCPA Theaterfest, StageWorks Fresno, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, Odyssey Theatre LA, and Utah Shakespeare Festival, where she has spent seven seasons. Local credits include: The Homecoming (CapStage), Orlando (SacImpulse), next to normal (New Helvetia Theatre), and A Christmas Carol (STC). Raised in Sacramento, she is elated/grateful/slightly terrified to return to B Street to have a crack at one of the most iconic female characters in theatrical history.

Dave Pierini (Artistic Producer)

Dave is a member of the Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: Dance Nation, We’re Gonna Be Okay, Dry Powder, One Man, Two Guvnors, and Bloomsday. Recent directing credits include: The Ladies Foursome, Airness, and Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad. Recent writing credits include: A Moving Day, Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad, and Snow White & Rose Red. Dave also hosts B Street Theatre’s live podcast, Poison Boot, and is a member of B Street Theatre’s sketch & improv team, which currently performs monthly Upstairs at the B in Maximum Occupancy. Dave has also performed with Music Circus, appearing in Hello, Dolly and The West Side Story.

Rob Karma Robinson (Company Member)

Robert Karma Robinson is a Brooklyn/Houston native. He received his BFA from the University of Evansville, and then MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory. Some of his most notable credits include The Blowin of Baile Gall by Boston playwright Ronan Noone at The Vineyard Playhouse on Martha's Vineyard, as well as the world premiere Expedition Six(written/dir. Bill Pullman) at the Kennedy Center. And last year in Ricardo Khan's Satchel Paige and the Kansas City Swing at Saint Louis Rep. and Cincinnati Playhouse in the park respectively. He also played Tom Robinson in Montana Repertory Theater's national tour of To Kill A Mockingbird for the 50th anniversary of the book. He is thrilled to be making his B Street Theatre debut surrounded by many brilliantly talented artists. He is also glad to be working to live rather than living to work as so many are in these trying days! One love.

Tara Sissom (Company Member)

Tara is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: The Ladies Foursome, Airness, One Man, Two Guvnors, The House On Haunted Hill, and A Doll’s House, Part 2. Recent Family Series credits include: Cinderella. Writing credits include: Treatment and Brother Sister (New Play Brunch - August 2018). Directing credits include: Baby Cakes (2018 New Comedies Festival). Tara is a member of the Upstairs at the B improv trio Maximum Occupancy alongside Dave Pierini and Stephanie Altholz and Seekers of the Strange. A founding member of The New Colony in Chicago, Tara also performed in The Goodman Theatre’s production of The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Chelsea Grogan (Administration Manager)

Chelsea began her time at B Street in 2018 as an administrative volunteer and leveled up in 2019 to become Buck Busfield and Lyndsay Burch’s executive assistant. She has been very involved in organizing the annual New Comedies Festival and is always stoked to read fun new plays! (Are you a playwright? Hit us up: literary@bstreettheatre.org!) Chelsea attended film school at USC, but found Los Angeles to be quite unpleasant. She has since made the excellent decision to move to Sacramento and obtained an MFA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM. She now lives in Oak Park with a bunch of sleep-deprived med students and her clingy rescue terrier, Poppy.
