Creative
Lyndsay Burch (Executive Artistic Director & CEO)
Lyndsay Burch is the Executive Artistic Director and CEO of The Sofia: Home of B Street Theatre. For B Street, Lyndsay has directed more than twenty productions across the Mainstage and Family Series, written for multiple touring shows, and produced hundreds of professional productions. As a director and assistant director, Lyndsay has developed new plays with Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, the National Showcase of New Plays, Sacramento Theatre Company, the Dramatist Guild Footlight Series, Hangar Theatre and Berkshire Theatre Group, American Conservatory Theater and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, among others. Lyndsay has written two full-length plays for the B Street’s Family Series: Gandhi! (2018) and an adaption of The Wizard of Oz (2019). She was honored as one of Sacramento Business Journal’s “40 under 40” in 2017 and as one of Sacramento Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” in 2021. She is an alum of Elon University’s BFA Acting Program, the National Theater Institute, Yale University’s Directing Intensive, SDC’s Observership Class of 2017 and Theatre Bay Area’s ATLAS Program for Directors. Lyndsay serves as the President of the National New Play Network (NNPN). Locally, Lyndsay is a proud member of Point West Rotary (PWR) and she is a graduate of Leadership Sacramento, Class of 2020. Lyndsay lives in Sacramento with her dog Manny and her partner Tommy. She would like to extend her thanks to the B Street board, staff, company and audiences for their endless support.
Jerry Montoya (Executive Producer)
Jerry Montoya has worked in professional theater as a playwright, director and producer for the past 30 years. During the pandemic a play about his multi-generational family, Nosotros La Gente, was commissioned and produced by American Stage in St. Petersburg, Florida as part of their re-imagine series and his play Love And Baseball is now a feature film streaming on HBO/Max. For B Street he recently directed Byhalia, Mississippi, which closed prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the new theater he has helmed Holmes and Watson and The Legend of Georgia McBride, as well as many others at the old B Street including: A Skull in Connemara, Red, The Seafarer and he has written 13 plays for the Family Series including Martin Luther King and the Sound of Freedom, Treasure Island, The Flying Machine, Frankenstein and his original play about Harriet Tubman, The Conductor, has seen two productions at B Street.
Sean Patrick Nill (Artistic Associate)
Sean Patrick Nill is Artistic Associate and Company Manager at the B Street Theatre. B Street Writing Credits include: Winnie-the-Pooh, ‘Tis the Season: A Celebration of Holiday Stories, Fantasy Festival XXXI-XXXVI, Mind Boggling Mysteries of the World, and Mathematical Madness. Directing Credits include: The Play That Goes Wrong, The Last Wide Open, A Year with Frog & Toad, Proclivity for Kiting, and Fantasy Festival XXXI-XXXVI. His plays have been produced by the Sacramento Theatre Company, B Street Theatre, Dramatist's Guild's San Francisco Footlight Series, Rover Dramawerks, Theatre InspiraTO festival, Watermelon One Act Festival, M.T. Pockets Theatre, Torent Theatre, and the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. His play, Kings of America was a finalist for the Davey Foundation Theatre Grant given by the Salt Lake Acting Company, his play An Ordinary Woman was published in Stage It! Ten Minute Plays: 2017 Edition,and his play Brynlee & the Bull won the Audience Choice Award at the InspiroTO 10 Minute Play Festival in Canada.
Buck Busfield (Founder & Music Curation)
Buck has been involved with B Street since its 1986 founding by younger brother Timothy. During his tenure at B Street Theatre, Buck served as director, composer, playwright and artistic director overseeing the production and presentation of over 500 works of live theater, music, comedy and dance. In 2018, Buck’s long-held vision of a small, Midtown performing arts center was realized with the opening of the beautiful Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. Buck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He makes his home in Sacramento with his wife, Mehera.

Greg Alexander (Company Member & Director of Outreach & Education)
Greg is the Director of Education as well as a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: The Play That Goes Wrong, The Lost Claus, A Child’s Christmas in Reno, Popcorn Falls, Holmes and Watson, The House On Haunted Hill, and One Man, Two Guvnors. Recent Family Series credits include: The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol and Treasure Island. His directing credits include History Extravaganza IV, Every Brilliant Thing and Alice in Wonderland. Writing credits include Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad, Alice in Wonderland, and The Golden Harp. As Director of Education he oversees workshops in schools, hospitals, community centers, and correctional facilities, as well as class offerings with B Street’s Conservatory and Studio for Young Actors. Greg lives in Sacramento with his wife Sean and their Westies, Quincy Magoo & Finnegan Hooligan.
Stephanie Altholz (Company Member)
Stephanie is a B Street Theatre Core Company Member. Recent Mainstage credits include: Charade, Dance Nation, One Man, Two Guvnors, Airness, We’re Gonna Be Okay and The Last Match. She co-starred in and co-wrote Treatment with company members Tara Sissom and Amy Kelly. Upstairs at the B credits include: Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. Other Mainstage credits include: Hand to God, Speed-the-Plow, Handle with Care, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche and The Explorers Club, and many more. Family Series credits include: Tis the Season, Charlotte’s Web, Alice In Wonderland, Robin Hood, Frankenstein, and others. Regional Theater credits include: Alabaster, Slowgirl, reasons to be pretty, and Clybourne Park (Capital Stage).
Brittni Barger (Company Member)
Brittni studied Acting at CSU Sacramento and NYU’s Collaborative Arts Project. She is a Company Member at B Street Theatre, last seen on the Mainstage as Michele in Jerry Montoya’s Love and Baseball and before that as Sally Ride in Ride, Sally Ride on the Family Series stage. Currently living in San Diego, she’s had the opportunity to film commercials and mixed media with a wide variety of fun clients and products like The New Yorker, Manscaped, Bloomsybox, Crossrope, Lume, Glamnetic, Flo and more. Some favorite regional credits include Nora in A Doll’s House and Elizabeth Bennet in The Wickhams and Christmas at Pemberley at Capital Stage, as well as Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker and her most recent role as Suzy in Wait Until Dark at Sacramento Theatre Company. She is a host on the Amazon Prime show Beyond Geek. She’s delighted to return to B Street where she started as an acting intern because she fell in love with their work after seeing The Clean House starring Insertion’s very own Jamie Jones.
Dana Brooke (Company Member)
DANA BROOKE is an actor and playwright based in NYC. She is a Core Company Member at B Street Theatre, where she has appeared in CONSTELLATIONS, IRONBOUND, VENUS IN FUR, OTHER DESERT CITIES, THE REALISTIC JONESES, OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, among others. For B Street’s Family Series she has written the plays EXTRAORDINARY THINGS: THROUGH THE EYES OF ANNE FRANK, THE THREE MUSKETEERS, and THE SWORD IN THE STONE. Premiered as staged readings at B Street, Dana’s original plays IN BETWEEN THE HOURS and WILL received workshop productions in NYC. She has worked in new play development at Cincinnati Playhouse, New Jersey Rep, NNPN’s National Showcase of New Plays, Valdez Theatre Conference, as well as in NYC with New Dramatists, Cardinal Group, The NOW Collective, The Journey Company, and The Lark. As an actor, she has worked opposite Chita Rivera, Mike Birbiglia, Reed Birney, Arthur Laurents; performed at Cherry Lane, 59E59, Theatre Row, New Light Theatre Project (Company Member), Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, George Street Playhouse, New Jersey Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Florida Rep, Playhouse on Park. Tate Hanyok (Company Member)
Born and raised in Virginia, Tate's acting career began at B Street Theatre where she was so lucky to share the stage with its fantastically talented company members in shows like The Ladies Foursome, The Underpants, Boston Marriage, Sylvia, and the first CTC show, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. She later transitioned to on-camera work with guest roles on shows such as The Office, Superstore, Shameless, The Mentalist, NCIS, Community, and the film Burt Wonderstone with Steve Carell. She's appeared in more than 75 commercials and is an alum of UCB. She's written, produced, and directed multiple webseries and shorts and recently sold her first feature screenplay.
Hunter Hoffman (Company Member)
Hunter is ecstatic to be the newest addition to the incredibly talented Core Company of B Street Theatre. Other B Street credits include Insertion, Jump, Wipeout, The Last Match, On An Open Fire, The Last Wide Open. Hunter also was a fight choreographer for the B Street productions of The Play That Goes Wrong, Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson, and Charade. Broadway: Sweat. National Tour: Oklahoma! Kurt Johnson (Company Member)
Kurt is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company and the director of the B Street Summer Acting Program. Recent Mainstage credits include: One Man, Two Guvnors, A Moving Day, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Recent Family Series credits include: Treasure Island. He has also worked at the Capital Stage, Sacramento Theatre Company, and the Sacramento Music Circus. Kurt was a member of the first ever B Street Theatre Intern Company in 1993. Jamie is thrilled to return to B Street Theatre where she was last seen in The B Street Theatre 2022 New Comedies Festival winner Insertion by Sarah Groustra. Amy Kelly (Company Member)
Amy is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. Stephanie is an original B Street company member and is thrilled to be making her debut at The Sofia. Stephanie was last seen in Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike. Stephanie has also had the pleasure of acting in several of Buck Busfield's original works for the main stage. Meher is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. She is originally from Mumbai, India. Danielle Moné Truitt (Company Member)
Danielle Moné Truitt stars as Sergeant Ayanna Bell in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” the latest installment of Dick Wolf’s successful “Law & Order” franchise on NBC. Truitt was hand-picked by the late John Singleton for the BET series, “Rebel,” in the title role of Rebecca 'Rebel' Knight, and starred in Fox's drama series "Deputy" alongside Stephen Dorff. Truitt hails from Sacramento, California, where she studied theatre and dance at Sacramento State University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Truitt has been nominated for two Ovation Awards for "Dreamgirls" and "The Mountaintop," for which she was also nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award. She created a dynamic one-woman play called“3: Black Girl Blues” that she produced and performed in to sold out audiences in Los Angeles, New York and most recently Sacramento. Other stage credits include: “In The Heights,” “The Legend Of Georgia McBride,” “Aida,” “A Raisin in the Sun” and“Hair.” Truitt has guest starred in television series including "Snowfall," "Super Fun Night" and"Mulaney." On the film side, she performed the body movements and facial expressions for Princess Tiana, as well as voicing Georgia, in Disney's "The Princess and the Frog." Off screen, Truitt started the Be. Eternal: The Thriving Artist Series that serves the artistic community by providing emotional and spiritual support. Truitt is the proud mother of two sons and splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
Elisabeth Nunziato (Company Member)
Elisabeth Nunziato has just returned from a critically acclaimed run in Australia and Scotland of BLOOD OF THE LAMB coming to B Street July 26. Recent B Street credits include SNOW FEVER, A GREAT MIGRATION and the role of Amelia Earhart in RIDE, SALLY, RIDE! By Tara Sissom and Katerina Pruitt. Ms. Nunziato is a passionate acting coach continuing a 30 year tradition of actor training with Ed Claudio’s Actor’s Workshop. Complimenting a life in the theater, Elisabeth directs and produces film and commercial projects for NK Media with her husband, Jason Kuykendall. Her latest project is The Wisdom Studio with Professor Hakan Ozcelik creating research-based materials to enhance leadership in organizations. Ms. Nunziato is a proud founding company member of the B Street Theater and is privileged to make her home in our great city.
Melinda Parrett (Company Member)
Melinda, a member of the B Street Acting Company, is chuffed to bits to return to the Sofia to spend some time on Baker Street! Her Mainstage appearances include ELEMENO PEA, ROBYN IS HAPPY, THE LADIES FOURSOME, DRY POWDER, and A DOLL'S HOUSE: PART II. She has performed with theatres all over the country, including Denver Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Geva Theatre, Santa Cruz Shakespeare, PCPA Theaterfest, StageWorks Fresno, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, Odyssey Theatre LA, and Utah Shakespeare Festival, where she has spent 8 seasons. Locally, she has been seen in THE OTHER PLACE and THE HOMECOMING (Capital Stage), ORLANDO (SacImpulse), NEXT TO NORMAL(New Helvetia Theatre), and A CHRISTMAS CAROL (STC). Dave Pierini (Company Member)
Dave is the former Artistic Producer of the B Street Theatre and a proud member of the Acting Company. Dave has directed many productions for the B Street Theatre including KIMBERLY AKIMBO, OTHER DESERT CITIES, ELEMENO PEA, BUYER & CELLAR, THE CHRISTIANS, CLEVER LITTLE LIES, TREATMENT, THE LADIES FOURSOME, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, AIRNESS, A DOLL’S HOUSE PT. 2 and most recently THE LOST CLAUS. As a playwright, Dave’s work has been featured on the Family Series Stage and the Mainstage, most recently with his adaptation of CHARADE.
Amy Resnick (Company Member)
Robert Karma Robinson (Company Member)
Robert Karma Robinson (actor, singer, ex-dancer, man in the street, Johnny on the spot, self-proclaimed Batman) is a Brooklyn/Houston native. Most might remember his B Street debut in the short-lived run of Byhalia, Mississippi in 2020. When the pandemic shuttered the Sofia, he became a consistent fixture in the B Social online offerings. When the Sofia re-opened he returned as a full-fledged B Street Company Member in Dance Nation. YAY HEY! Some of his most notable credits include Driving Miss Daisy at The Vineyard Playhouse on Martha's Vineyard, as well as the world premiere of Expedition Six (written/dir. Bill Pullman) at the Kennedy Center. He originated roles in Ricardo Khan's Satchel Paige and the Kansas City Swing and Fly at Saint Louis Rep. and Cincinnati Playhouse In the Park, respectively. One of his favorite roles was Tom Robinson in Montana Repertory Theater's national tour of To Kill A Mockingbird for the 50th anniversary of the book. Rob received his BFA from the University of Evansville and then MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory. He is glad to be working to live rather than living to work as so many are in these trying days! One love.
Tara Sissom Pittaro (Company Member & Theatre for Young Audiences Manager)
Tara is thrilled to be directing again! She previously directed the 2022 New Comedies Festival winner, Insertion, for the Mainstage last summer. She serves in administration as the Theatre for Young Audiences Manager and is a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: The Play That Goes Wrong, Proclivity for Kiting, Byhalia, Mississippi, The Ladies Foursome, Airness, A Doll’s House, Part 2, The House On Haunted Hill and One Man, Two Guvnors. Recent Playwriting credits include: Rescue Me, Ride Sally, Ride and Treatment. Tara is a member of the Upstairs at the B improv group Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. A founding member of The New Colony in Chicago, Tara also performed in The Goodman Theatre’s production of The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Tara holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University.

Peter Story is a proud B Street Theatre Core Company Member. You may have seen him recently in Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone in this Room Killed Him, Rescue Me (which he also co-wrote with Tara Sissom-Pittaro), Love & Baseball, or Lovers & Executioners. As Director of Education he oversees workshops in schools, hospitals, community centers, and correctional facilities, as well as class offerings with B Street’s Conservatory and Studio for Young Actors. Greg lives in Sacramento with his wife Sean and their Westies, Quincy Magoo & Finnegan Hooligan.

Chelsea Grogan (Communications & Subscriptions Manager)
Chelsea is the Communications and Subscriptions Manager at B Street Theatre. She grew up on a ranch with goats and horses in the garlic capital of the world (Gilroy, CA) and spent her early twenties working behind the scenes in the LA film industry after receiving a BA in Film Production from USC. In 2016, she escaped the SoCal traffic by moving to Sacramento and by 2018 she began her career at B Street as a volunteer. Chelsea is an enrolled citizen of the Comanche Nation and a proud graduate of the Creative Writing MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She lives in a lovely little 1940s cottage in Oak Park with her rescue terrier Poppy.
Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya (Director of Development and Community Partnerships)
Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya is thrilled to be back at B Street. Recent B Street credits include, The Legend of Georgia McBride, The Wizard of Oz, and Dance Nation. Jacob has been a member of the vibrant theatre scene in Sacramento for over two decades. He's choreographed productions for B Street Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company, 6th Street Playhouse, Green Valley Theatre, Big Idea Theatre, Woodland Opera House and The New York Musical Festival to name a few. Jacob is an internationally awarded choreographer having won three Grand Prize titles from the International Choreographers Festival. His work has been featured at Dîner en Blanc, Sanremo Young (Italian National Television), Habitat for Humanity Gala, Party for Change, and Broadway Sacramento. Most recently, his work was featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the 78th Choreographers Showcase. Jacob has worked as a dance educator for over ten years at several organizations in Sacramento, including the Sacramento Ballet, Northern California Dance Conservatory, STC, and Broadway Sacramento. Jacob is the Artistic Director of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre and co-owner of Hawkins School of Performing Arts in Folsom. He received his dance education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and recently finished an Artist-in-Residency at UC Davis. Jacob is also excited to be the new Director of Development and Community Partnerships right here at B Street Theatre. Tara Sissom Pittaro (Company Member & Theatre for Young Audiences Manager)
Tara is thrilled to be directing again! She previously directed the 2022 New Comedies Festival winner, Insertion, for the Mainstage last summer. She serves in administration as the Theatre for Young Audiences Manager and is a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: The Play That Goes Wrong, Proclivity for Kiting, Byhalia, Mississippi, The Ladies Foursome, Airness, A Doll’s House, Part 2, The House On Haunted Hill and One Man, Two Guvnors. Recent Playwriting credits include: Rescue Me, Ride Sally, Ride and Treatment. Tara is a member of the Upstairs at the B improv group Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. A founding member of The New Colony in Chicago, Tara also performed in The Goodman Theatre’s production of The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Tara holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University.

Tim Stewart is the Kelly Bar Manager here at the Sofia and recently was seen on B Street's Family Series Stage as Nikola Tesla in THE PRINCE OF LIGHTING as well as in ‘TIS THE SEASON. He also appeared on the Mainstage in a week-long stint as The Inspector/Chris in THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG and Inspector Lestade/Moriarty in MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON - APT 2B. He just finished back-to-back runs at San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre as Frank Hart Jr. in 9 TO 5, and in THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS (THE MUSICAL). He has been seen locally here in Sacramento in Clue, A Christmas Carol, and Disaster! (Sacramento Theatre Company) and as Grandpa and Mother Ginger in Sacramento Ballet's The Nutcracker. He has performed at theatres around the country such as Sacramento Theatre Company, Sierra Repertory Theatre, PCPA, Utah Festival Opera, SLO Repertory Theatre, and The Great American Melodrama, to name a few. Some of his favorite roles include Bert in Mary Poppins, Davey in Newsies, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps, Robert in The Drowsy Chaperone and many more! @mrTimStewart
