Turner Sparks
W/ Special Guest Nick Rado
Clean Show – Appropriate for Ages 10 - 110
Turner is American, his wife Ye is Chinese and his parents are nuts. That pretty much covers it.
Born and raised in Sacramento, award-winning comedian Turner Sparks started his comedy career in 2009 in Suzhou, China by founding Mainland China's first stand-up comedy club, Kung Fu Komedy. Sparks is now a worldwide performer based in Brooklyn, New York, Sparks has performed in 15 countries and has blossomed into one of the artform’s premier comedic storytellers.
Turner’s comedy is clean and a-political by design, while being global in perspective and brutally honest by nature. As such, Turner is one of the few comedians working today who genuinely appeals to audiences of all ages, nationalities, religions and whatever else you can come up with.
Or as Sparks puts it, “No matter where you are from or what you believe, I guarantee you will think I’m an idiot”.
Turner Sparks’ latest stand-up comedy album “Double Happiness”, released in 2022 by Larry The Cable Guy’s “Git R Done Records”, went to #1 in America and is currently in heavy rotation on SiriusXM’s comedy channels.
In October of 2018 Sparks was inducted as the newest “Friar” at the legendary Friars Club in New York City, and in September 2020 he was elected to the Friars’ Board of Governors. In October 2021 Turner made his debut on The Las Vegas strip with a week-long residency at The Laugh Factory comedy club inside The Tropicana Hotel, a feat he repeated again in March 2022, 2023 and 2024.
His US television appearances include “Lucky Chow” (PBS/ National Geographic), “Kennedy” on Fox Business and CGTN (America). Sparks is also the host of the popular “Lost in America” podcast on iTunes which is a worldwide hit going to #1 in Armenia, Albania, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Finland, Mongolia, Nepal, Peru, Pakistan, South Korea, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and his high school’s Instagram page (Jesuit High).
Outside of the US, Sparks has popped up on CCTV and CGTN (China). In January, 2019 he appeared on China’s hit comedy show “Roast!” on Dragon TV, which is viewed by an estimated 400 million people.
