Featuring the Joe Gilman Quartet—Jacam Manricks on woodwinds, Ben Kopf on bass, Tim Metz on drums, and Joe Gilman at the Well-Tempered Clavier—this performance will explore and celebrate the timeless genius of Bach with fresh jazz interpretations of his greatest themes.
Dr. Joe Gilman, a towering figure in jazz education and performance, brings his vast expertise to this project. With over 30 years of teaching experience at American River College and California State University, Sacramento, along with his role as a guest clinician at Stanford University, Dr. Joe Gilman is renowned for blending insightful historical and theoretical perspectives with engaging and entertaining anecdotes that captivate audiences.
