The Orestis Koletsos Ensemble

The Orestis Koletsos Ensemble is recreating a historic Mikis Theodorakis concert that was held in October 1974. This concert marked the return to democracy in Greece and was one of the most memorable and emotional concerts performed. For the first time since 1974, the Mikis Theodorakis Foundation has given permission to recreate this historic concert that includes some of Theodorakis's most beloved songs. Mikis Theodorakis created more than 1,000 musical works and achieved worldwide recognition through compositions ranging from symphonic and chamber music to acclaimed film scores, including Zorba the Greek, Z, and Serpico. His artistic achievements made him one of the most recognizable cultural figures of modern Greece and a respected voice on the international stage.
