Creative

Lyndsay Burch (Executive Artistic Director & CEO)

Lyndsay Burch is the Executive Artistic Director and CEO of The Sofia: Home of B Street Theatre. For B Street, Lyndsay has directed more than twenty productions across the Mainstage and Family Series, written for multiple touring shows and produced hundreds of professional productions. As a director and assistant director, Lyndsay has developed new plays with Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, the National Showcase of New Plays, Sacramento Theatre Company, the Dramatist Guild Footlight Series, Hangar Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Group, American Conservatory Theater and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, among others. Lyndsay has written two full-length plays for the B Street’s Family Series: GANDHI! (2018) and an adaption of THE WIZARD OF OZ (2019). She was honored as one of Sacramento Business Journal’s “40 under 40” in 2017 and as one of Sacramento Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” in 2021. She is an alum of Elon University’s BFA Acting Program, the National Theater Institute, Yale University’s Directing Intensive, SDC’s Observership Class of 2017 and Theatre Bay Area’s ATLAS Program for Directors. Lyndsay serves as the President of the National New Play Network (NNPN), the Vice President of the National Theatre Conference (NTC) and on the board of Celebration Arts. Locally, Lyndsay is a proud member of Point West Rotary (PWR) and she is a graduate of Leadership Sacramento, Class of 2020. Lyndsay lives in Sacramento with her dog Manny and her partner Tommy. Jerry Montoya (Executive Producer)

Jerry Montoya is the Executive Producer of B Street Theatre and the Sofia Center for the Arts in Sacramento, California, winner of the 2024 National Theatre Conference Theatre of the Year award. His play Love And Baseball premiered at B Street in 2016 and is now a feature film. His most recent play, Nosotros La Gente, received its premiere at B Street Theatre and was originally commissioned by American Stage in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a director, his credits include The Legend of Georgia McBride, Holmes and Watson, Byhalia, Mississippi, A Skull in Connemara, Red, and The Seafarer. For B Street's Family Series he has written fifteen plays including Harriet Tubman and The Underground Railroad, which has seen multiple productions. He has worked in professional theater for over thirty years as a playwright, director, actor, designer, stage manager, and educator.

Sean Patrick Nill (Artistic & General Manager)

Sean Patrick Nill is Artistic and General Manager at the B Street Theatre. B Street Writing Credits include: Never Fear, Shakespeare!, Tiny Trailblazers: Kids Who Changed the World, Winnie-the-Pooh, ‘Tis the Season, Fantasy Festival XXXI-XXXVI, Mind Boggling Mysteries of the World, and Mathematical Madness. Directing Credits include: Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, Tiny Trailblazers: Kids Who Changed the World, Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone in This Room Killed Him, The Prince of Lightning, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Last Wide Open, A Year with Frog & Toad, Proclivity for Kiting, and Fantasy Festival XXXI-XXXVI. His plays have been produced by the Sacramento Theatre Company, B Street Theatre, Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine, Rover Dramawerks, Theatre InspiraTO festival, Watermelon One Act Festival, M.T. Pockets Theatre, Torent Theatre, and the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. His play Kings of America was a finalist for the Davey Foundation Theatre Grant given by the Salt Lake Acting Company, his play An Ordinary Woman was published in Stage It! Ten Minute Plays: 2017 Edition, and his play Brynlee & the Bull won the Audience Choice Award at the InspiroTO 10 Minute Play Festival in Canada. Buck Busfield (CO-FOUNDER, B Street Theatre; FOUNDER, The Sofia; Artistic Director (retired))

Buck has been involved with B Street since its 1986 founding by younger brother Timothy. During his tenure at B Street Theatre, Buck served as director, composer, playwright and artistic director overseeing the production and presentation of over 500 works of live theater, music, comedy and dance. In 2018, Buck’s long-held vision of a small, Midtown performing arts center was realized with the opening of the beautiful Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. Buck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He makes his home in Sacramento with his wife, Mehera.

Acting Company

Greg Alexander (Company Member & Director of Outreach & Education)

Greg serves as B Street Theatre’s Director of Education and member of the Core Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: DOG MOM, DRACULA: A COMEDY OF TERRORS, THE WHITE CHIP, PICKLEBALL, SNOW FEVER: A KARAOKE CHRISTMAS, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, and THE LOST CLAUS. Recent Family Series credits include: THE FLYING MACHINE: THE STORY OF THE WRIGHT BROTHERS, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and TREASURE ISLAND. Along with writing partners Clifford Lee Johnson III and Jane Kelley, Greg helped write the TYA musical GRACE & THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, which was selected for development by the Johnny Mercer Foundation’s New American Musical Writers Grove at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam CT. GRACE will have its premiere as part of B Street’s Student Matinee series in 2026! As Director of Education he oversees workshops in schools, hospitals, community centers, and correctional facilities, as well as class offerings with B Street’s Conservatory and Studio for Young Actors. Greg lives in Sacramento with his wife Sean and their Westies, Quincy Magoo & Finnegan Hooligan.

Stephanie Altholz (Company Member)

Stephanie is a B Street Theatre Core Company Member. Recent Mainstage credits include: Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, Pickleball, Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone in this Room Killed Him, Snow Fever: A Karaoke Christmas, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Last Wide Open, Charade, Dance Nation, One Man, Two Guvnors, Airness, We’re Gonna Be Okay and The Last Match. She co-starred in and co-wrote Treatment with company members Tara Sissom and Amy Kelly. Upstairs at the B credits include: Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. Other Mainstage credits include: Hand to God, Speed-the-Plow, Handle with Care, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche and The Explorers Club, and many more. Brittni Barger (Company Member)

Brittni studied Acting at CSU Sacramento and NYU’s Collaborative Arts Project. She is a proud Company Member at B Street Theatre, last seen on the Mainstage as Maisie in Insertion and before that as Michele in Jerry Montoya’s Love and Baseball. Her last Family Series role was Sally Ride in Ride, Sally Ride. Currently living in San Diego, she’s had the opportunity to film commercials and mixed media with a wide variety of fun clients and products like The New Yorker, Fairy Tales Hair Care, Lume, Glamnetic, Lomi and many more. Other regional credits include Nora in A Doll’s House and Elizabeth Bennet in The Wickhams and Christmas at Pemberley at Capital Stage, as well as Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker and Suzy Hendrix in Wait Until Dark at the old Sacramento Theatre Company. Brittni is a host on the Amazon Prime show Beyond Geek. She’s delighted to return to B Street where she started as an acting intern in 2010.

Dana Brooke (Company Member)

Dana Brooke is an actor and playwright based in NYC. She is a B Street Theatre Company Member, where she has appeared in BLOOD OF THE LAMB, IRONBOUND, CONSTELLATIONS, VENUS IN FUR, OTHER DESERT CITIES, THE REALISTIC JONESES, OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, among others. She has worked opposite Chita Rivera, Mike Birbiglia, Reed Birney, Arthur Laurents, and has performed at Cherry Lane, 59E59, Theatre Row, New Light Theatre Project (Resident Artist), Cardinal Group, The Lark, New Circle Theatre Company, George Street Playhouse, New Jersey Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Florida Rep, Playhouse on Park, Edinburgh Fringe, and Adelaide Fringe. Julia Brothers (Company Member)

Jack Gallagher (Guest Actor & Playwright)

Jack started his comedy career in Boston during the stand-up boom of the late 70’s. After moving to Los Angeles, Jack became a regular at The Improv and added big screen credits to his resume by landing a major role in the feature film Shakes the Clown with Bob “Bobcat” Goldthwait. He has also appeared in Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood and was featured in the made for television movie Incident at Ruby Ridge. Gallagher’s work on network television includes his own ABC sitcom Bringing Up Jack as well as a recurring role on the HBO Original Series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Jack also made numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. Jack has written eight critically acclaimed one-man shows LETTERS TO DECLAN, JUST THE GUY, WHAT HE LEFT, A DIFFERENT KIND OF COOL, COMPLETE AND UNFINISHED, FIVE SONGS, CONCUSSED, and A STAND-UP GUY. Jack is a three time Emmy award winner for his work as host of the PBS shows Money Moves, Off-Limits and Kids, Cash and Common Sense. And was also honored with the NATPE IRIS award in the category “On-Camera Talent.” Jack is proud of his over 30 year association with the Sofia Center for The Arts home of B Street Theater and is happy to present his final one-man show AN IRISH GOODBYE. Jack and his wife Jean Ellen and son Liam currently live in Brewster, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.

Tate Hanyok (Company Member)

Tate Elizabeth Hanyok was named one of the Moviemaker Top 25 Writers to Watch and one of Tracking Board's Top 100 Emerging Writers on the Young and Hungry List. Known for her bold, female-driven comedies, her genre-spanning portfolio includes the teen romantic comedy SEX APPeal, which she wrote and produced for Hulu, director and co-writer of the holiday comedy WHAT THE ELF?!, director of BRUNCH & BLOODSHED, (premiering January 2026), and writer of the rom-com feature THE PET NUP, coming soon! She was also tapped to adapt two YA novels into motion pictures. In the thriller realm, Tate wrote feature film FORGOTTEN ABDUCTION and continues to explore new territories with the elevated horror feature ZEUS. Tate produced and adapted Jerry Montoya's LOVE AND BASEBALL, which she also starred in, on HBO MAX. DOG MOM is her first produced play - written for her friends so they could reunite, revel in silliness, and because she is their biggest fan. Tate returns to The Sofia after her performance in The Ladies Foursome. Born and raised in Virginia, Tate's acting career began at The B Street Theatre as an intern where she was so lucky to share the stage with its fantastically talented company members in shows like The Underpants, Boston Marriage, Sylvia, and the first CTC show, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. She later transitioned to on-camera work with roles on shows such as The Office, Superstore, Shameless, The Mentalist, NCIS, Community, and the film Burt Wonderstone opposite Steve Carell. Having done nearly 100 commercials, she might have sold you a car, a burger, or dental insurance. Tate is now a film director and screenwriter and is thrilled to be returning to her home on the stage to play with her best friends.

Hunter Hoffman (Company Member)

Hunter is ecstatic to be the newest addition to the incredibly talented Core Company of B Street Theatre. Other B Street credits include Insertion, Jump, Wipeout, The Last Match, On An Open Fire, The Last Wide Open. Hunter also was a fight choreographer for the B Street productions of The Play That Goes Wrong, Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson, and Charade. Broadway: Sweat. National Tour: Oklahoma! Kurt Johnson (Company Member)

Kurt is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company and the director of the B Street Summer Acting Program. Recent Mainstage credits include: One Man, Two Guvnors, A Moving Day, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Recent Family Series credits include: Treasure Island. He has also worked at the Capital Stage, Sacramento Theatre Company, and the Sacramento Music Circus. Kurt was a member of the first ever B Street Theatre Intern Company in 1993. Jamie Jones (Company Member)

Jamie is thrilled to return to B Street Theatre where she was last seen in The B Street Theatre 2022 New Comedies Festival winner Insertion by Sarah Groustra. Stephanie McVay (Company Member)

Stephanie is an original B Street company member and is thrilled to be making her debut at The Sofia. Stephanie was last seen in Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike. Other main stage shows include: Other Desert Cities, Sexy Laundry, Mending Fences, A Skull in Connemara, The Book of Liz, Juno and the Paycock, and The Underpants. Stephanie has also had the pleasure of acting in several of Buck Busfield's original works for the main stage. TV credits: MOM, The Romanoffs, Super Store, Baskets, The Great Indoors, The People vs OJ Simpson, The Office, Big Love, True Blood and Parks and Recreation, to name a few. Meher Mistry (Company Member)

Meher is a member of the B Street Theatre Core Acting Company. She is originally from Mumbai, India. Her credits at B Street include The Art of War, Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone In This Room Killed Him, Insertion, Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson: APT 2B, Lovers and Executioners, Dance Nation, The Conference of The Birds, Tiny Trailblazers: Kids who Changed the World, ‘Tis the Season and Junie B Jones is not a Crook. Regional credits include Come Fall in Love at The Old Globe, San Diego. She has performed in several productions in Mumbai and other Indian cities, including Disney India’s Beauty and the Beast, Monsoon Wedding, The Truth, Uncle Vanya, The Sound of Music, Lucrece, Jesus Christ Superstar. Danielle Moné Truitt (Company Member)

Danielle Moné Truitt stars as Sergeant Ayanna Bell in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” the latest installment of Dick Wolf’s successful “Law & Order” franchise on NBC. Truitt was hand-picked by the late John Singleton for the BET series, “Rebel,” in the title role of Rebecca 'Rebel' Knight, and starred in Fox's drama series "Deputy" alongside Stephen Dorff. Truitt hails from Sacramento, California, where she studied theatre and dance at Sacramento State University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Truitt has been nominated for two Ovation Awards for "Dreamgirls" and "The Mountaintop," for which she was also nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award. She created a dynamic one-woman play called“3: Black Girl Blues” that she produced and performed in to sold out audiences in Los Angeles, New York and most recently Sacramento. Other stage credits include: “In The Heights,” “The Legend Of Georgia McBride,” “Aida,” “A Raisin in the Sun” and“Hair.” Truitt has guest starred in television series including "Snowfall," "Super Fun Night" and"Mulaney." On the film side, she performed the body movements and facial expressions for Princess Tiana, as well as voicing Georgia, in Disney's "The Princess and the Frog." Off screen, Truitt started the Be. Eternal: The Thriving Artist Series that serves the artistic community by providing emotional and spiritual support. Truitt is the proud mother of two sons and splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles.

Elisabeth Nunziato (Company Member)

Elisabeth Nunziato is a founding B Street Company Member and starred most recently in the hit comedy Dog Mom, the acclaimed What the Constitution Means to Me, as Marie Curie in Marie Curie and the Sisterhood of Science and directed B Street’s The First Adventures of the Hardy Boys, the First Adventure. Ms. Nunziato is the host of The Good with Elisabeth Nunziato - An Evening of Comedy, Music and Curated Curiosity. She is a passionate acting and communications coach with Actor’s Workshop, ActinSac.com, as well as a commercial producer and director with NK Media, NKMEDIA.BIZ. Elisabeth is committed to the Sacramento region and makes her home here with husband, Jason Kuykendall and their beloved dog Sofia-Home-of-the-B-Street-Theatre, yes, that is her full name. Melinda Parrett (Company Member)

Melinda, a member of the B Street Acting Company, is chuffed to bits to return to the Sofia to spend some time on Baker Street! Her Mainstage appearances include ELEMENO PEA, ROBYN IS HAPPY, THE LADIES FOURSOME, DRY POWDER, and A DOLL'S HOUSE: PART II. She has performed with theatres all over the country, including Denver Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Geva Theatre, Santa Cruz Shakespeare, PCPA Theaterfest, StageWorks Fresno, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, Odyssey Theatre LA, and Utah Shakespeare Festival, where she has spent 8 seasons. Robert Karma Robinson (actor, singer, ex-dancer, man in the street, Johnny on the spot, self-proclaimed Batman) is a Brooklyn/Houston native. Most might remember his B Street debut in the short-lived run of Byhalia, MS in 2020. When the pandemic shuttered the Sofia, he became a consistent fixture in the B Social online offerings. When the Sofia re-opened he returned as a full-fledged B Street Company Member in Dance Nation. YAY HEY! Some of his most notable credits include Driving Miss Daisy at The Vineyard Playhouse on Martha's Vineyard, as well as the world premiere of Expedition Six (written/dir. Bill Pullman) at the Kennedy Center. He originated roles in Ricardo Khan's Satchel Paige and the Kansas City Swing and Fly at Saint Louis Rep. and Cincinnati Playhouse In the Park, respectively. One of his favorite roles was Tom Robinson in Montana Repertory Theater's national tour of To Kill A Mockingbird for the 50th anniversary of the book. Rob received his BFA from the University of Evansville and then MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory. He is glad to be working to live rather than living to work as so many are in these trying days! One love.

Tara Sissom-Pittaro (Company Member & Theatre for Young Audiences Manager)

Tara is thrilled to be directing again! She previously directed Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors and the New Comedies Festival winners Insertion and The Newlywed Game for the Mainstage. She serves in administration as the Theatre for Young Audiences Director and is a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company. Recent Mainstage credits include: A Christmas Carol, The Art of War, The White Chip, The Play That Goes Wrong, Proclivity for Kiting, Byhalia, Mississippi, The Ladies Foursome, Airness, A Doll’s House, Part 2, The House On Haunted Hill and One Man, Two Guvnors. Recent Playwriting credits include: Marie Curie & the Sisterhood of Science, Rescue Me, Treatment and Ride Sally, Ride!. Tara is a member of the Upstairs at the B improv group Maximum Occupancy and Seekers of the Strange. Tara holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University.

Peter Story is a proud B Street Theatre Core Company Member. You may have seen him recently in Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone in this Room Killed Him, Rescue Me (which he also co-wrote with Tara Sissom-Pittaro), Love & Baseball, or Lovers & Executioners. Some of his favorite B Street credits include One Man, Two Guvnors; Byhalia, Mississippi; The Forever Question and Ironbound. Local credits include Luna Gale (Capital Stage) & Five Course Love (Sacramento Theatre Company). Other regional credits include Surviving Sex (Garry Marshall Theatre) & the national tour of the one-man Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus. Meet Liz Baidoo—the Associate Executive Director at The Sofia, with a knack for making things happen. With over 20 years of experience, Liz is a GSD maven for strategic planning, marketing community engagement, and administration. Before joining B Street Theatre, Liz worked her magic as the Marketing & Community Development Director at Celebration Arts, Sacramento's premier Black theatre (now rocking the old B Street space). She's also been the mastermind behind communications at the Museum Education Roundtable and a sought-after freelance marketing consultant. Her client list included the Crocker Art Museum, Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum, and the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art. She's the current facilitator of the Professional Arts Leaders of Sacramento (PALS), where Liz rallies the top arts leaders in the region for monthly discussions about advancing support for arts organizations in Sacramento. Words cannot express how excited Liz is to join the wildly talented team at B Street Theatre to bring smiles and joy to children, patrons, and the community through our programming and workshops.

Chelsea Grogan (Communications & Subscriptions Manager)

Chelsea is the Communications and Subscriptions Manager at B Street Theatre. She grew up on a ranch with goats and horses in the garlic capital of the world (Gilroy, CA) and spent her early twenties working behind the scenes in the LA film industry after receiving a BA in Film Production from USC. In 2016, she escaped the SoCal traffic by moving to Sacramento and by 2018 she began her career at B Street as a volunteer. Chelsea is an enrolled citizen of the Comanche Nation and a proud graduate of the Creative Writing MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She lives in a lovely little 1940s cottage in Oak Park with her rescue terrier Poppy.

Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya (Director of Development and Community Partnerships)

Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya is thrilled to be back at B Street. Recent B Street credits include, The Legend of Georgia McBride, The Wizard of Oz, and Dance Nation. Jacob has been a member of the vibrant theatre scene in Sacramento for over two decades. He's choreographed productions for B Street Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company, 6th Street Playhouse, Green Valley Theatre, Big Idea Theatre, Woodland Opera House and The New York Musical Festival to name a few. Jacob is an internationally awarded choreographer having won three Grand Prize titles from the International Choreographers Festival. His work has been featured at Dîner en Blanc, Sanremo Young (Italian National Television), Habitat for Humanity Gala, Party for Change, and Broadway Sacramento. Most recently, his work was featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the 78th Choreographers Showcase. Jacob has worked as a dance educator for over ten years at several organizations in Sacramento, including the Sacramento Ballet, Northern California Dance Conservatory, STC, and Broadway Sacramento. Jacob is the Artistic Director of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre and co-owner of Hawkins School of Performing Arts in Folsom. He received his dance education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and recently finished an Artist-in-Residency at UC Davis. Jacob is also excited to be the new Director of Development and Community Partnerships right here at B Street Theatre. Special thanks to this incredible cast and crew and his husband Elio for being simply the best. Merde!

Liv O’Neil (Teaching Artist)

Liv’s love for theater sparked while living in foster care in Los Angeles when a theatre company came to family court to entertain the children waiting for their cases to be called. Later on she had two high school drama teachers that she credits with part of what makes her who she is today. Liv has a degree in Government International Relations and worked in campaign consulting and sales which she will claim made her a better actor and director. In an attempt to provide access to the theater arts for children who would not otherwise have it she has run and directed an elementary school theater production program for the past 3 years ranging from 40-70 students at a time. She owns and operates her own portrait photography business and provides headshots for young actors in her program every spring. Liv is also a head aquatics coach at the high school level as well as coaching swim at the recreational level in the summer. She spends her free time with her husband, two young children and her beloved German Shepard.

Erin Moos-Rallens (Board President)

Erin Moos is the Core Programs Leader for Corporate Responsibility at Intuit – makers of QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint, CreditKarma, MailChimp, and more – where she creates and directs programs that help to power prosperity for those who need it most. Over the last twelve years, she has managed Intuit’s product donation programs to nonprofits, small business success programs, and corporate charitable giving. Prior to joining Intuit, Moos was a Senior Associate with Dewey Square Group, a public affairs practice in Sacramento, serving as Deputy Program Director for the “WE Programs”, women’s empowerment programs created and championed by former California First Lady, Maria Shriver. Previous to her work in philanthropy and social works programs, Moos worked in advertising sales at NBC’s owned-and-operated station in San Diego and KRON 4 in San Francisco. Moos is a graduate of San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business, Marketing with a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications. She loves to travel, eat amazing food in the company of equally amazing friends and family, and is always the first to laugh at her own jokes. She lives in East Sacramento with her husband (Matt), two stepchildren (Kyah and Noah), and their dog (Cooper).

Marisa Meredith (Board Vice President)

Marisa Meredith is the Director of Operations for SKK Developments managing overall operations and project development strategy. She is responsible for executing as the liaison between project stakeholders including ownership, general contractors, architects, and design consultants, and City officials and staff. Prior to joining the family business, Marisa worked for our partners, The Grupe Company, as Project Manager to three of our joint ventures; Q19 Midtown, H16 Apartments, and Eleanor Apartments. She received her BA in Urban Studies from Brown University.

Mark Mapes (Board Treasurer)

A Sacramento native, Mark is the son of a psychology professor at American River College and an elementary school teacher-turned-psychotherapist. He graduated from Jesuit High School and CSU Sacramento (B.S. in History, summa cum laude). He was awarded a Hagley Graduate Fellowship at the University of Delaware, where he earned a Ph.D. in the History of Technology and a Museum Studies Certificate. While completing his postgraduate studies, Mark lucked into a career in high tech, eventually landing at Adobe as a quality engineer, where he’s climbed to the top of the QE ladder over twenty years working on Premiere Pro and a series of video editing apps for mobile devices. In his free time, Mark’s passions include photography, turning wooden bowls and other fine woodworking, and enjoying B St plays as well as concerts at the Sofia.

Eva Nybo (Board Member)

Lori Bluett (Immediate Past Board President)

Lori has worked and lived in the Sacramento area for over 30 years. While most of her career centered around commercial real estate, owning several successful real estate and banking advisory companies, she has developed and owns several of her own projects throughout the United States and abroad. Lori has a deep love and background in the arts. She built and operates the premier jazz club in the Caribbean, based in Puerto Rico and is working to bring live theatre to underserved communities on both sides of the US. Additionally, she has built, designed, and operates several award-winning restaurants in the culinary arts field, is a sommelier and owns several hospitality projects which merge music, theatre, culinary arts, and construction design. All of Lori’s physical projects are known for incorporating the industry from murals, to statues, to music, theater and other sensory art forms. She is proud to be a philanthropist and creator in the field of theater, entertainment and creating joy to be shared with all communities.

Timothy Busfield (Board Member Emeritus; FOUNDER, Theatre for Children, Inc.; CO-FOUNDER, B Street Theatre; Artistic Director (retired))

Timothy Busfield is an American actor and director. He has played Elliot Weston on the television series thirtysomething; Mark, the brother-in-law of Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) in Field of Dreams; and Danny Concannon on the television series The West Wing. In 1991 he received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for thirtysomething. He is also the founder of the 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, Theatre for Children, Inc.

Terri Nikole Baca (Board Member)

As Assistant Vice President for legislative affairs, Terri Nikole Baca represents AT&T before the California State Legislature. Her work includes analyzing and advancing legislation that supports AT&T policy priorities in California, working with coalitions and stakeholders, negotiating policy objectives, building bi-partisan relationships, and developing legislative strategy. Previously Terri Nikole served as State President for AT&T New Mexico and Wyoming. In this role, she oversaw AT&T government and public affairs in both states, successfully advancing major network and policy initiatives. Prior to joining AT&T, Terri Nikole was Policy Director for a national education nonprofit, where she led projects to support youth education and workforce skills training. Before her work in the nonprofit sector, Terri Nikole spent several years on Capitol Hill serving as legislative counsel to a Member of Congress. Terri Nikole holds a BBA in Finance and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico.

Stacey Brown (Board Member)

Stacey is a Senior Litigation Attorney with The Schlehr Law Firm, where she represents employees who have been wrongfully terminated. Stacey’s practice focuses representing women have been terminated because of pregnancy or for having taken a maternity leave. Stacey attended her first B Street performance in 1997 and has long been a supporter of the B Street and its mission. Stacey also loves traveling with her husband and friends, scuba diving, and exploring local wine regions and wine tasting.

Suzanne is a long-time B Street supporter and relishes the opportunity to serve as a board member. Recently retired from Sutter Health Information Systems, she continues to nurture her passion for theatre, education, servitude leadership and joy as a community non-profit volunteer. Children's programming and all aspects of performance education is our cornerstone, and it is her belief, this is how we will sustain the future of live-performance art.

Mandy Lee (Board Member)

Mandy Lee is a distinguished public affairs professional and brings nearly 15 years of government relations, political strategy and public service experience to her clients. She serves as a trusted advisor to prominent Fortune 10, global companies, helping them navigate through the complex world of politics and policy in one of the world’s most challenging political landscapes - the California Legislature. Prior to founding her firm, Mandy served in prominent leadership roles having served as President of one of Sacramento’s largest advocacy firms as well as Vice President of Government Affairs at a premier trade association, successfully representing the interests of her diverse client portfolio. In 2016, Mandy was nationally recognized as one of the top Asian American Pacific Islander political operatives by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs. Mandy started her career in the public service, having served in a number of capacities in both houses of the California Legislature. Omni’s approach is built on the philosophy that you must master the institution that you seek to influence. Mandy dedicates her spare time to giving back to the community. She is an Executive Committee Board Member of Equality California, helping the organization with its political and advocacy activities. Mandy is a graduate of California State University Hayward, where she studied political science with an emphasis on law.

Lloyd Levine (Board Member)

I am a former member of the California State Legislature, and now President of Filament Strategies, LLC, a Sacramento based consulting firm. I have extensive experience in public affairs, communications, public policy and politics. I focus on green issues and technology. While in the Legislature, I served as Chair of the Committee on Utilities and Commerce where I developed significant policy expertise in energy, telecommunications, technology and environmental issues. I am skilled at crafting messages and devising strategic communications campaigns. I understand the impact public affairs and communications can have on perceptions and use my expertise to create effective public affairs campaigns. I am also an author and frequently asked to write articles on a variety of topics for publications ranging from local newspapers and magazines to international law journals. I have spoken at conferences and events around the world and been frequently interviewed as a subject matter expert by state, national, and international news institutions, including the BBC, 60 Minutes, and the New York Times.

Shirley Liu (Board Member)

I’m a native of San Francisco and grew up in Sacramento, I attended San Francisco state university and majored in kinesiology. I returned to Sacramento after the birth of my first child, I’m the mother of four, and have settled here in East Sacramento. I currently take care of the family and work with the Sacramento children’s home crisis nursery and B Street Theatre.

John McNaught (Board Member)

John McNaught is a Partner at Elevate, where he leads a cross-sector practice focused on senior leadership and board appointments within the sports and entertainment industry. John joined Elevate from Russell Reynolds Associates, where he worked closely with clients to recruit C-suite executives and advised on a range of leadership areas. Prior to this, John served for seven years as a political appointee in the Obama Administration, most recently as the Deputy White House Liaison at the US Department of the Treasury. Prior to this, John served at the White House in the Presidential Personnel Office. Earlier in his career, John founded a small data startup and worked on the 2008 Barack Obama presidential campaign. He earned his BS in business from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. John moved to Sacramento in 2018 with his wife, Becky. They are the proud parents of Sebastian and Colette.
