A program of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s initiative to grow local philanthropy, Big Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour community-wide movement that unites the region’s nonprofit sector to help raise unrestricted funds for the organizations that strengthen the capital area. Since 2013, the giving day has generated nearly $40 million for more than 600 local nonprofits! B STREET THEATRE INVITES YOU TO TAKE PART IN: A LIVE TELETHON!

On  Thursday May 5th, B Street will celebrate Big Day of Giving 2022. To celebrate the legacy of B Street’s Co-founder and Producing Artistic Director, Buck Busfield, we are trying to hit a $250,000 goal for Big Day of Giving! This gift will honor Buck who, after 36 years, will soon enjoy a well-deserved retirement. If we reach our goal, we will be naming Upstairs at the B after Buck and Mehera Busfield!

WHEN: Thursday, May 5 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm

  WHAT: Passing the Buck – B Street’s LIVE Telethon

  Join us via YouTube or Facebook live on May 5th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm for a live telethon in honor of the Sacramento Regional Community Foundation’s 2022 Big Day of Giving and to celebrate the legacy of B Street’s Founder and Producing Artistic Director, Buck Busfield. For five straight hours, The B Street Theatre will bring you non- stop entertainment featuring comedy, music, games, partner showcases and of course, tributes to Buck! Throughout the day, B Street Company members will honor your generous donations with a personalized thank you and also show their gratitude with fun select giveaways.
