On the heels of their electrifying debut, the Sofia proudly welcomes back Lab Rats, an innovative ensemble known for their fearless fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and funk. Blending deep grooves, modern beats, and virtuosic improvisation, Lab Rats create a sound that is both forward-thinking and rooted in the jazz tradition.
This special concert will also feature acclaimed local saxophonist Jacam Manricks, whose expressive playing and adventurous spirit make him a perfect collaborator for the group’s genre-bending aesthetic. Together, the band promises spontaneous interplay, high-energy rhythms, and moments of inspired musical risk-taking.
