This year's Big Day of Giving, or 'BIG DOG' will be taking place on Thursday, May 4th at 8pm and we have something VERY exciting planned.

24 HOUR PLAYS!
On Big Day of Giving, the entire Sacramento community comes together to give as much as we can to our beloved non-profits in the period of 24 Hours.
So this year, B Street Theatre is seeing what we can create and perform in only 24 hours! Partnering with The 24 Hour Company in New York City, B Street staff, artists, company members and partners will come together to create unique plays with elements of music and dance in just 24 hours. Beginning at 8pm on May 3, playwrights will work through the night to write their pieces and then be joined by the directors and performers at 8am on Big Day of Giving. With less than 12 hours of rehearsal, the artists will perform for you LIVE in the Sutter Theatre at 8pm on Big Day of Giving to perform their 24 hour creations.

This exciting event will be FREE to anyone who has donated to the B Street Theatre in the past 12 months as well as anyone who donates early or on Big Day of Giving.

A program of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s initiative to grow local philanthropy, Big Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour community-wide movement that unites the region’s nonprofit sector to help raise unrestricted funds for the organizations that strengthen the capital area. Since 2013, the giving day has generated nearly $40 million for more than 600 local nonprofits!
