Becky Lynn - With a dark, yet charismatic style and dry but engaging delivery, Becky Lynn has made herself a fixture in the Nor Cal comedy scene. Covering a range of topics including modern love, grief, and parenthood, she ensures that there is something for every audience to relate to. Becky has opened for such heavy hitters as Jen Kirkman, Maria Bamford, and Tom Papa. She was recently featured in SF Sketchfest and she can be seen hosting various comedy clubs.
Kiry Shabazz is a stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles, with roots in the Midwest and a career launched in Nor Cal. He's an instant crowd favorite, both online and at live events, thanks to his relatable and engaging comedy style. He made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon and his standup has been featured by Don't Tell Comedy twice (now on Hulu!), Bill Burr's The Ringers, Comedy Central’s Stand Up and was named New Face of Comedy by the Just for Laughs festival.
Amy Bee writes short-form memoir and has been published in Ozy, New Ohio Review, Atticus, Salon, Heartwood, and other cool places. Her work has been loosely collected into an almost-memoir called The Wilderness Years on Substack. She has also been a book editor since 2018 and loves helping others tell their stories. Amy is the co-creator of In a Nutshell Storytelling and has secretly always wanted to tell her stories to an audience. She's also failed at hiking the Pacific Crest Trail 3 times.
In a Nutshell is hosted and curated by storytelling comedian Keith Lowell Jensen, book editor Amy Bee, and author Aaron Carnes, three friends who want nothing more than to give humans laughter, insight, and the full spectrum of emotion from the absolute best live storytellers in the universe — that’s all. Come and get what you need, human! You deserve to connect, reflect, and celebrate the power of live storytelling. You are welcome here!
