Howl
Join us for an unforgettable evening as the Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre partners with Jaws and Paws, an animal rescue and wolf conservation organization, to present Howl. This evocative performance weaves narratives of survival and the profound connection between all living beings, emphasizing the urgent need to protect these majestic animals.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Jacob Gutiérrez-Montoya, Howl draws inspiration from Anjali Ranadivé and her team at Jaws and Paws, who rescue wolf dogs and advocate for the recovery of wild wolves in California. With a sanctuary for 20 rescued wolf-dogs, their mission is vital.
More than just a performance, Howl is a call to action. Through the expressive language of dance theatre, it invites audiences to reflect on their own experiences and ignites a passion for wildlife conservation. As dancers embody the struggles and triumphs of these animals, you will be inspired to engage in the mission of protecting our planet's wildlife.
Prepare to be moved and motivated. Howl is a celebration of resilience, a tribute to our bond with nature, and a reminder that together, we can make a difference.
